Peru Cenfrocafe *New*
Brought to us by our longtime friends Trabocca out of the Netherlands, Cenfrocafe is a coop they have been working with for many years out of the North of Peru. This harvest was a must have for us on our cupping table, so we procured a small parcel to offer you.
2400 coop members contribute, with an average farm size of 4 hectares. Guano is the key fertilizer for the crop, and strict pruning both contribute to the quality of the cup. Generally the less cherries yield per plant, the more intense the flavors are in the fruit, and a rich fertilizer like Guano make for excellent growing of top tier coffee lots.
Distinctly green grape flavors hit us when tasting, followed by a light sweetness like pie crust, finishing with a warm nuttiness like cashews. Peruvian coffees are always a welcome site here at Kuma HQ, very excited to have this South American coffee added to the lineup.
