Peru Yanatile Reserve *New*
We should probably buy more coffees from Peru. When they are this good, we kick ourselves for not doing so.
This lot is from the Valle Inca Coop, nestled in the Yanatile valley just north of the famed Cusco. 101 members contribute to this lot, growing at elevations of 1700-2000 masl, heights you'd more commonly see further north in Colombia. Comprised of Typica & Bourbon varieties, these coffees were grouped at the wet mill, washed and fermented for 20-30 hours before drying on raised beds for 15-20 days. One of the original Peruvian sourcing partners of Red Fox Coffee Merchants, this coffee is a benchmark cup for southern Peruvian coffee.
Apple acidity pairs with a candy-like Almond Joy body and richness. Notes of honey linger on the finish. This is a crowd pleaser, enjoy it while it's here.
