Story: In late January of this year we visited our friends at Dormans Coffee and cupped some speed rounds of hundreds of Kenyan coffees. We've never experienced the pace and intensity of cupping and evaluating coffee that Dormans presented us with. After hundreds of delicious cups, we narrowed our selections down to the top six and locked them down on the spot.
The Kenya Karatu is a coffee that year after year outshines most other Kenyan coffees. It has won numerous awards around the globe. This week 17 outturn of the Karatu blew away our expectations and cupped higher than any other coffee we cupped at Dormans this past year. Let's just say we saved the best for last and we can't wait for you to experience the dynamic flavors this coffee wields.
Look for lush sugar forward backdrop thats inundated with pink fruits that pop with acidity. We taste blood oranges and pink grapefruit. The coffee also exhibits nice tropical fruit notes that are similar to fresh fruit nectar. Kenyan coffee at its absolute best!!
